Dear Visitor,
Welcome to Gilda's Club Westchester! If you, a family member or friend have cancer, our web site will introduce you to a program, free of charge, which provides the social and emotional support that we feel is so necessary when living with cancer. When you walk through the red door of our clubhouse, located in the center of White Plains, you will immediately feel warm and welcomed.
Since our opening in March 2000, more than 1,600 people have joined Gilda's Club Westchester to learn how to live with cancer. When cancer happens, it happens to the whole family. Men, women, children, families, and friends are all welcome here. Our Program, The Basic III ‘Plus’ is composed of support and networking groups; lectures and workshops; and social activities. Our program for children is called Noogieland. The other ‘Plus’ portion of the program includes Family Focus, Team Convene and ph&d (a special category of membership for those who have finished treatment or lost a loved one to cancer). You will see that if you actively participate in the program your sense of control and confidence will grow. We hope that you'll choose to become a member of our very special community, Gilda’s Club Westchester.
Gilda said that, “having cancer gave me membership in an elite club I'd rather not belong to.” Gilda's Club Westchester has a wonderful program for your social and emotional support. Please read on, and feel free to visit our Clubhouse at 80 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY.
With warm regards,
