Mary and Maria have been friends for more than 40 years. As retired elementary school teachers, both enjoy reading and organizing. They share many things in common, including a deep gratitude for Gilda’s Club Westchester.
Although they first came through the red doors for different reasons – Mary survived ovarian cancer while Maria lost her husband to pancreatic cancer – they were both strengthened by the community inside and wanted to give back.
Now, this dynamic duo catalogues and manages our library as our "book engineers" – it's the perfect outlet for the former educators!

Our 5th Annual Night of Laughter at Gotham Comedy Club!

Join us for an evening of laughter to benefit Gilda's Club Westchester! The Junior Council of Gilda's Club Westchester is hosting our 5th annual comedy fundraiser at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. The event will feature a showcase of Gotham's Comic All-Stars, who have appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, The Late Show, The Tonight Show, Late Night and more. Event Chair: Jody Rones.
The evening starts with cocktails at 7:00 pm followed by the show at 8:30 pm, and all proceeds from the night go to Gilda's Club Westchester.

Sign Up for Our Cancer TransitionsTM Workshop
|

|
In the midst of a cancer diagnosis, the focus is one day at a time, and all energy is directed to treatment. But once treatment is over, it can be challenging to transition back to "normal" life.
To help with this transition, Gilda's Club Westchester is offering a free program for cancer survivors called Cancer TransitionTM. This six-week workshop covers exercise, emotional health, nutrition and other wellness issues. Sessions are on Thursdays, beginning January 13, from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. Learn how to take control of your survivorship and enjoy life beyond cancer.
