For 25 years, Community Outreach volunteers have devoted countless hours to supporting local non-profit organizations in Westchester County. At Gilda's Club, our Community Outreach team of 10 volunteers has dedicated the past five years to creating, planning and executing special social events for our members and has truly become a part of the GCW community. "These volunteers are so gracious – they tell the staff to relax because they will handle everything. We just confirm the date and they are there," says GCW Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator Miranda Dold, LMSW.

Bringing Cancer Support to Local Schools
|

Did you know that Gilda's Club Westchester has developed a program to help school communities address the impact of cancer on students and their families? Geared toward elementary, middle and high schools throughout Westchester, Rockland and lower Fairfield counties, our trained professionals provide interactive presentations to reduce anxiety, dispel myths and tackle fears of children and teens who are touched by cancer. One of the most unique characteristics of the School-Based Program is that it is specifically tailored to meet the needs of each district.
