A Family Touched by Gilda's Club Westchester

David Jaquith sometimes wonders what it would have been like if he and his family had known about Gilda's Club Westchester when his wife had cancer.
"I like to think and hope we would have taken advantage of it... that support could have been very helpful. It was all so overwhelming." His daughter, Alyssandra Jaquith, found out about Gilda's Club through our Teen Essay Contest. She wrote about coping with her mom's death from cancer and won first prize... and introduced her family to the Gilda's Club community.
Now, David is committed to spreading the word about how our organization can help individuals and families dealing with cancer. >>

The two most hilarious nights of the year are coming!

Join us Wednesday, February 8, for our 6th Annual Night of Laughter comedy fundraiser at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. The evening kicks off with cocktails at 7:00pm, followed by the comedy show at 8:30.
Join us Thursday, March 15, for our 2012 Annual Comedy Gala at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester. Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6:00pm, dinner and reception at 7:00.

Expressing the Cancer Experience through Art
|

Gilda's Club Westchester offers individuals a unique opportunity to express and explore their cancer experience using expressive arts. This is beneficial both to the person that has been diagnosed as well as to family members and friends. The workshops are open to individuals of all creative backgrounds and skill levels. Not only are these classes an opportunity to learn new skills, they foster an environment for people to build a sense of community and fellowship, which is at the core mission of Gilda's Club Westchester.
