2009 Annual Comedy Gala

The 2009 Gilda's Club Westchester Annual Comedy Gala was held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, NY. It was an evening filled with celebration and laughter. We honored the Mayor of White Plains, Joseph M. Delfino, with the Red Door Award and Karen Martino with the Barbara Bennett-Rones Volunteer of the Year Award. Chris Mazilli from Gotham Comedy Club secured three top comedians, Amy Schumer, Louis Ramey and Gary Gulman, from the nationally televised program "Last Comic Standing." This year in lieu of an auction, we introduced the Gilda's Giving Tree which promoted sponsorship of our Program through various donation options.

We would like to thank Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill for underwriting a portion of the gala, X-quisite Flowers, Inc. for donating the center pieces and Giving Tree displays, and Olivier New York for donating the beautiful organic soaps for guest favors.
